Situated in Annaberg-Buchholz, the secret capital of the Erzgebirge (Ore Mountains), we are committed to the old fashioned standard of our handicraft, as is has been practised in our region throughout many generations.
Most of our attention is on imparting the idea, background, and purpose of the pieces. Since they are popular articles for sale, there is a growing impact of deception and commercial misuse to survive on the market. So far, there have been signs and certificates allowing the customers to distinguish between genuine works and cheap copies from the Far East. However, there is a threatening tendency to break these regulations, even here in our region, the birth place of quality handicraft. In many cases, the traditional ways of decoration have been abandoned. In this way, the traditional ways of living, the morality and the mentality of the Erzgebirge are denied. Facing this situation, we give our best to stop this process and share the ideas and traditions of pieces with our customers. Our goal is not to disappoint you with copies, but to remain faithful to quality. In our house you will not only find good products, but your will have the chance to ask questions and discover the true heart of handicraft from the Erzgebirge. We will be happy to answer questions about anything you are interested in! As a speciality we offer to create a unique piece just for you and your family.
